Hi! My name is Rick Schneider, and I teach Health at Northview. According to the state of Ohio, a student cannot graduate from high school without passing Health. My goal in teaching this class, which will affect the students for the rest of their lives, is to not only impart knowledge but to also stress the importance of making good decisions in the following topics:

  • contemporary issues
  • nutrition and dieting issues
  • drugs
  • first aid (including CPR)
  • sexuality issues.

Mr. Schneider's Schedule

Grading Policy

If absent/tardy, you are obligated to make up any homework, tests, quizzes, etc.- if you are absent on the day of a test, you will take the make-up on the day that you return.

Grading procedure is such: two points are deducted for an incomplete homework assignment. 2 points are added for each current event in the form of a newspaper or magazine clipping brought in by students. You may also choose to do a 40 point extra credit report at the end of one of the two quarters.

Current events are S.O.P. after every quiz/test (attitude evaluator) - they must be cut neatly, not torn. They must come from a magazine or newspaper.
